The first step to transforming your home is an initial consulation where Michelle will conduct a 'needs assessment' and discuss overview ideas for the property to suit you and your lifestyle.

Independent Interior & Design Advisor 

As an alternative to a full interiors package, this is a stand-alone service that Michelle offers to clients who already have a designer, architect, builder or supplier but want an independent perspective. Using her wealth of experience Michelle helps home owners with interior design decisions by combining practical design experience with strategic thinking. As a former lecturer of ergonomics, Michelle is an expert in space management and layouts, ensuring your space works for you. 

Before you commit to a large renovation, an extension, a new kitchen, or major works on your home, get a second opinion by booking a 2-hour consultation. 

Complete Furnishing

Following on from the initial consultation, my engaged services begin with a style concept and continues through to the complete sourcing of required decor furnishings & furniture. 

For clients who require renovation or architectural work, I am happy to collaborate with their professional team of architects and project managers. 

I do not routinely manage building works or act as the client's main contractor. 

Sourcing the right furnishings is my area of expertise.

Timeline

It is recommended that you engage professional interior design services early in your project so that Michelle can work alongside your architect and/or your builder for better outcomes. This avoids you facing costly late changes such as re-positioning of windows/doors or fixtures/radiators etc, which all impact the furniture layouts, and avoids compromises. 

To manage expectations, interior design projects tend to take 4-6 months from initial concept to completion. This allows adequate time for the design process, to source appropriate materials and for all custom furnishings to be made.

Finding the right antique is rarely a matter of simply finding something beautiful.

It needs to have the right scale, character, condition and relationship with the room — and sometimes the right piece is the one you weren't looking for at all.

Through longstanding relationships with antique dealers, auction houses, artists and specialist suppliers, I source furniture, paintings, sculpture, mirrors, lighting and decorative objects for private clients.

I can source a single piece or help build a collection for an entire property.
